Thursday February 2^nd, 2012 will be the day that we will hear the verdict on the murderers of Malasay Hashim Idris.  This is the day that all Hararis who believe in freedom and justice have been waiting for a long time. It is our hope that the murderers of Malasay Hashim will be handed out a just verdict that will satisfy the Harari masses. Let us pray for our fallen hero Melasay Hashim and let  us pray for his family in these trying times; May Allah grant Malasay Hashim Jennah and may Allah give his family the strength and sustenance in this life. Eye for Africa, an Australia based nongovernmental organization, has made 190 cataract surgeries in Harari Regional State in its second trip to the area since it has began its operation in Ethiopia in 2007. The team of 21 volunteers has also made 875 screenings for trachoma cases of whom 500 received treatment, 62 orthopedic surgeries, 380 outpatient services, 90 antenatal check ups for pregnant women and 130 people received home visits by medical professionals in the city of Harar, some 520 kilometer  east of Addis Ababa.
